GreenspaceLive Consultancy

UK Green Building CouncilgreenspaceLive undertakes consultancy to all sectors on early stage building services and energy related solutions. It employs recognised Low Carbon Consultants and is a member of the UK Green Building Council.

Our approach to solutions in the built environment is to take a very fundamental perspective to the energy demands and the available natural energy for any building location. Theoretical studies on simple models give early stage carbon foot printing and energy benchmarking thus giving an opportunity to identify preliminary design options. These tools are available to our consultants as part of the suite offered to our customers.

greenspaceLive has a wide range of skills at its disposal that enable clients to consider the energy question from a holistic perspective. There is an abundance of energy in the natural environment and technologies will be evaluated to ensure that projects have a low carbon footprint. Almost all aspects of a building’s design, construction, services and management influences its energy performance. An energy-efficient building will be designed so that the orientation, layout, insulation, heating, ventilation and other systems work together. With adequate temperatures and ventilation levels, an integrated design maximizes cost effectiveness in construction and minimizes energy demands.

Design tools which require a greater degree of simulation sophistication for a total integrated approach, where all opportunities are optimized, are available for the more detailed design stages.
